Ryle Chastain has served on the McMinnville City Board of Mayor and Aldermen since November of 2014. Serving first as an alderman, Mayor Chastain has represented the community in a number of roles, including tenures on the Child Advocacy Board, Board of Public Utilities (MES), Tourism Development Board, 911 Board, as well as a number of committees within the city and other civic organizations. After his reelection in 2018, he was appointed Vice Mayor by the board before ultimately being elected Mayor in 2020. He continues to serve throughout Middle Tennessee with the Upper Cumberland Development District, UCHRA, Joint Economic and Community Development Board, and as an ex officio member of the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce.

Professionally, Mayor Chastain is a Registered Nurse and serves as a department manager at St. Thomas River Park Hospital. He is currently working towards a master’s degree in nursing as well as a number of credentials to further his nursing career.

When not working with the city or hospital, Mayor Chastain enjoys GoRuck and Crossfit. He is an avid UT Football fan and follows Tennessee Athletics thoroughly.
