The Administration Department is responsible for the proper billing, collecting, accounting and depositing of all funds that come into the City of McMinnville.  This is approximately 18 million dollars a year.  This includes property taxes, business licenses, state shared taxes, in lieu of tax payments, park & recreation fees, court fines, water, sewer & sanitation fees.  The Administration department is also responsible for accounts payable for all City departments.
Underneath the administration department also comes Human Resources.  The Human Resources Administrator coordinates personnel management functions for all City departments. Services include recruitment, selection and retention of employees; maintenance of the classification plan; maintenance of individual personnel files; administration of employee benefits; coordination of Risk Management, employee safety program and workers compensation; administration of the City’s drug and alcohol testing program.  Provides support to all City departments in the selection and retention of employees.  The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for managing the risks of the City in order to minimize the loss of physical, financial and human resources; including management of exposure and accidents, acts of nature, liability, theft and vandalism and safety and employee health.
