- I (Nolan Ming) worked on the upcoming budget.
- I reviewed departmental budget proposals.
- I performed several annual employee evaluations.
- I tracked several different items impacting municipalities that are moving through the State legislative process.
- I met with several community members about different issues.
- I worked on updating the Animal Control Ordinance.

- Committee and Board of Mayor & Aldermen meetings are to be held on Tuesday, 4/9.
- Staff meeting to be held on Wednesday, 4/10.
- I will meet with consultants and engineers on potential projects.
- I will continue collaborating with several departments, organizations, and representatives as we work on our upcoming budget.

Police
- This Week
- Congratulations to Officer Sydney Burger on her recent graduation from the Police Academy. We are excited to have you back at the department!
- Teen Citizen Police Academy continues this week. Over 20 participants have attended class and have enjoyed a variety of experiences so far.
- Our child passenger safety seat inspection was successful. We appreciate everyone who took advantage of this event.

- Working on the new upcoming budget.
- All shifts have completed their evaluations.
- Fire Fighter/ EMT Joel McGlothen took his Hazardous Materials Awareness test.

- Read Meters throughout the city.
- Ran several service calls and locates.
- Checked a fire meter at a local business.
- Replaced a check valve and meter stop on White Oak.
- Unstopped a clarifier drain at the Wastewater Plant.
- Continuing to audit service lines for upcoming water line survey.
- Installed meter set on Winding Way.
- Repaired a 1” water leak on Fairground Rd.
- Flushed all dead-end water lines.
- Installed new lights at the 202 Bell location as needed.
- Repaired a clean-out at Vinewood.
- Cut-offs for non-pay on 4/3/24 (68 total).
- Made a 4” water tap on Smithville Hwy.
- Checked all pump stations.
- Replaced a ¾ galvanized water service on N. Chancery.
- Worked on toilets at Fire Station 1.
- Had metal replaced that had blown off the Water Plant chemical building.
- Collected and delivered several quarterly water and wastewater samples to Pace Analytical.
- Mowed as needed throughout the water dept.
- Installed new filters at the lime silo @ Wastewater.
- Next Week
- Collect the 2nd round of UCMR5 samples.
- Check all pump stations and mow areas needed.
- Continue service line inventory.
- We will be installing new water taps and a sewer lift station.
