- Committee and Board of Mayor & Aldermen meetings were held on Tuesday, 4/9.
- I reviewed departmental budget proposals.
- I met with several community members about different issues.

- I will be attending the Tennessee City Managers Association Spring Conference.
- Safety, Building & Grounds, and Parks & Recreation committees will meet to review budget proposals.
- I will meet with consultants and engineers on potential projects.
- I will continue collaborating with several departments, organizations, and representatives as we work on our upcoming budget.

Police
- This Week
- April is observed as National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. Distracted driving has been linked to thousands of deaths each year. Stay mindful of the importance of safety and driving distraction-free to keep everyone safe on the road, including yourself.
- Teen Citizen Police Academy recently finished. We appreciate all those who participated and those who ensured teens had transportation and other means to participate.

Fire
- This Week
- Congratulations to Fire Fighter/ EMT Joel McGlothen, who passed his Hazardous Materials Awareness test!
- All shifts have completed their commission class on sprinklers/standpipes.
- Firefighter interviews will be done on Friday.
- Engineer / EMT Caleb Barnes has finished his online Fitness Training for the Fire Dept.
- Next Week
- Will begin our annual Fire Hydrant flow testing.
- Firefighters Scotty Mize and FF/ EMT Ber Bess will be attending class at TFACA at Bell Buckle for their Instructor 1 class.
- Firefighter Andrew Curry will be taking his Firefighter 1 commission test.
- Meeting with Community Development on an upcoming project.

Park Theater
Hello! Journey from the Heart put on a GREAT show last week! We had a huge crowd and we had several visitors from out of town in attendance who enjoyed nearby shopping and eating before the show!- This Week
- Tickets went on sale for Seussical Kids: Presented by Warren Arts – April 26 (7:00 pm), 27 (7:00 pm), 28 (2:00 pm)
- This is a play for kids, starring kids, and tells the tale of when Dr. Seuss’ best-loved characters collide and cavort in an unforgettable musical caper!
- Tickets also went on sale for An Evening with Deana Carter: Presented by On Fire Concerts.
- Deana Carter, whose 5x platinum debut album “Did I Shave My Legs for This?” and first single “Strawberry Wine” received numerous accolades in 1997 when they were released, is celebrating 25 years since that debut with an anniversary reissue of remastered songs and a tour that will bring her through McMinnville to the Park Theater!

Community Development

- Special called Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting Friday, April 12th @ 11 am.
- Made adjustments to permitting software to allow for online permits beginning in May.
- Attendance of BOMA meeting. Revised building permit fees were approved.

- Providing training for the Fire Department for Permitting Software.
- Department Budget meeting.
- Pre-development meeting for property off Faulkner Springs Road.
Water & Wastewater
- This Week
- Disassembled bad ¾ meters for scrap.
- Cleaned up shop.
- Ran multiple service calls and locates.
- Checked all water and wastewater pump stations.
- Delivered a pump to Wascon in Livingston, TN for repair.
- Organized system map room at the shop.
- Worked on the Semi-Annual Report for Wastewater.
- Met with other departments concerning the future purchase of uniforms.
- Delivered meals on wheels 4.11.2024.
- Continued flushing all dead-end lines in our system.
- Collected monthly samples for water.
- Replaced the sludge pump that pumps to the sludge press.
- Next Week
- Continue working on the semi-annual report for wastewater.
- Install an E1 on Bradford Rd.
- Continue working on service line inventory.
- Collect UCMR5 samples for the 2nd Quarter.
- Run double shifts at wastewater press.
Public Works
- This Week
- Cleaned off storm drains around town.
- Cleaned up around the shop.
- Worked on equipment that needed it.
- Answered 911 calls.
- Ran the sweeper on the bike routes.
- Next Week
- Didn’t get much done that was scheduled this week due to the rain. We hope better weather next week will allow us to get started back on replacing broken sidewalks.
- Installing culverts.
- ROW mowing.
