- This Week
- I (Nolan Ming) worked on the upcoming budget.
- I attended a status update meeting on bypass signalization upgrades on Monday.
- I attended the Warren County Middle School Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Monday.
- The Water & Wastewater and Streets & Sanitation committees will meet to review budget proposals for the upcoming fiscal year.
- Next Week
- The Finance Committee will meet on Tuesday, 4/30, @ 4:00 to review budget proposals for the upcoming fiscal year.
- We will hold a Bobby Ray & Potter Lane Stormwater Project Kickoff Meeting on Tuesday, 4/30, @ 5:30 with CSDG Engineering to review the site histories and to gather an understanding of the needs, wants, visions, and expectations for both sites.

Police
- This Week
- April is observed as National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. Distracted driving has been linked to thousands of deaths each year. Stay mindful of the importance of safety and driving distraction-free to keep everyone safe on the road, including yourself.
- Warren County High School Prom is this Saturday. We want to remind everyone of the importance of driving safely and free from any influences. Enjoy your time and make great memories!

- This Week
- Chief Deputy Marty White attended class at TFACA for his Fire Officer 4.
- Fire Fighter Joel McGlothen attended class at Crossville for his Hazardous Materials Operations.
- Congratulations to Fire Fighter Scotty Mize and Fire Fighter / EMT Ber Bess for passing their Fire Instructor 1 class.
- Have two groups of kids from Hickory Creek and Morrison School came to visit the Fire department.

- We will be spraying and weed-eating around fire hydrants.
Parks & Recreation

- Continued work on Gilley Pool for opening day.
- Mowing/prepping ballfields for baseball and softball games.
- The final weekend of spring soccer is this Sat, April 27th.

Water & Wastewater
- This Week
- Several service calls and locates.
- Repaired brick meter box on Caldwell Street
- TV’d sewer line at Sparta Street
- Repaired cleanout assemblies as needed.
- Checked backflow devices for city buildings.
- Cutoffs for non-pay on 4/23
- Replaced an E1 Pump
- Installed a ¾ inch water service on Red Road
- Installed extra cold patch for water cut on West Main Street
- Met with the contractor to discuss utility easement on Towles Avenue
- Installed E1 station on Bradford Road
- Cleaned Chemical tanks at the Water Treatment Plant
- Collected the second set of PFAS samples.
- Mowed and Trimmed at the Water Plant and Maintenance shop.
- Mowed and Manicured the Water Tank Grounds
- Collected monthly samples.
- Collected pretreatment samples for Wastewater.
- Wasted 300,000 gals. From the digester to the sludge press at the Wastewater plant
- Ran double shifts for the sludge press this past week.
- Attended committee meeting for budget discussion.
- Flushed Dead end lines within the distribution system.
- Next Week
- We will be making a ¾ inch water tap on S. Chancery St.
- Start working on service replacements on Towles Avenue.
- Working on Aerator Number 1 shaft.
Public Works
- This Week
- Formed and Poured sidewalk on Garfield St.
- Mowed some of the right of way around town.
- We have been putting down some stop bars at intersections.
- Installed culverts for customers.
- Cleaned out some ditches.
- Patched potholes.
- Working on the 24-25 budget.
- Next Week
- We'd like to continue to remind everyone about our brush routes and some recent changes. They can be found HERE or by calling 473-1219.
- Will be working on the sidewalk on Garfield St.
- We’ll still be mowing ROWs.
- Will be putting more stop bars down at intersections.
